We inspect all areas of the house, checking your main electrical components. We check your outlets for GFI protection were needed, check your electric panel for correct wire corresponding with the correct size breaker. Although we can not see everything, such as inside walls etc.. You should feel confident that you home inspection was as thorough as possible.
We visually inspect your plumbing system. Looking for any visible leaks, such as under sinks, or visible plumbing in the basement.
We will explain to you what kind of materials are used in the plumbing system. When finished you will know the approximate age of your water heater, and water softener(if installed). I will provide you with the model and serial numbers from the heater and softener, so you will have them at your fingertips if you need to have them serviced. Although every part of the plumbing system cannot be inspected during a home inspection, you should have a fairly good grasp on what it is you have in your prospective new house.
Also with heating ad cooling, we do a visual inspection, you will be given model and serial numbers of your equipment. We check inside the furnace, and/or boiler. Looking for signs of deterioration in the major components. We run the A/C if possible to make sure it is working order. During the home inspection we will also be looking for supply and return air grills placed in correct areas.
All areas of the house will be covered. From basement to roof. All mechanical systems, roofing, siding, concrete, slope of lot. I will strive to give you the customer the most thorough home inspection i can possibly give to you.
